Hunting party (a safari) came in 2003 (beta in January, released in Panther in October) and has travelled (safaried) solo for the last 21 years (it has been the only web browser bundled in Mac OS X, OS X and macOS since Tiger in 2005).
2: After the dog died, this scout was the only Microsoft app bundled in Mac OS.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
After the dog died (adopted by Apple after Cyberdog was killed in 1997), this scout (an explorer) was the only Microsoft app bundled in Mac OS (it was for 5 years until Safari took over).
3: From a mosaic to canal-digger, in the early days it brought cookies.

From a mosaic (originally from Mosaic Communications Corporation, led by Jim Clark) to canal-digger (a navigator or navvie), in the early days it brought cookies (it was first with cookies in 1994).
