macOS updates are already waiting for the newest Macs

If you’re about to receive any of the following new Macs, Apple has just released model-specific updates to macOS Golden Gate 27.2:

  • iMac M6
  • MacBook Pro 14-inch M6
  • MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch with OLED ‘touchscreen’ display.

Once yours is unboxed, be ready to install this update as soon as you can.

There are currently no macOS updates expected imminently for other Mac models, and the next scheduled update to macOS 27.3 has only recently started beta-testing.

I’m very grateful to Mr. Macintosh and Nicolás for this information.
