Solutions to Saturday Mac riddles 365

I hope you enjoyed Saturday’s Mac Riddles, episode 365. Here are my solutions to them.

1: Half the images came from the first iPhone to the Mac eight years later.

Photos

Half the images (photos, which is half of the unshortened word photograph) came from the first iPhone (it was introduced as an app on the original iPhone in 2007) to the Mac eight years later (released for the Mac in Yosemite 10.10.3 in 2015).

2: In with a puma, out in Yosemite, it was part of my life until 1.

In with a puma (released in January 2002 for Mac OS X 10.1.2), out in Yosemite (replaced by Photos in OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 in April 2015), it was part of my life (it was part of the iLife suite) until 1 (Photos).

3: Despite raw fine tuning, each version got cheaper until surrendered to Adobe.

Aperture

Despite raw fine tuning (one of its distinctive features), each version got cheaper (v1 $499, v2 $199, v3 $80) until surrendered to Adobe (it was abandoned in June 2014, leaving most to switch to Adobe Lightroom).
