Apple has just released security updates for Monterey, to bring it to version 12.6.9, and Big Sur, to bring it to version 11.7.10. These fix the vulnerability in ImageIO.framework which was fixed last week in Ventura 13.5.2, and is known to have been exploited by BLASTPASS malware in iOS.

This is both very quick, and its coverage of Big Sur is a real surprise, as many of us (including myself) had presumed that Big Sur security updates had now ceased.

There are also security updates to iOS 15.7.9 and iPadOS 15.7.9.
