I have just built version 3.3 of my free utility LockRattler, which checks basic security settings on Macs running macOS Sierra 10.12.x. The latest release is available from Downloads above.
This makes two changes which you should find helpful:
- LockRattler Help is now available from the Help menu. This includes all the relevant content from the documentation provided with LockRattler.
- There are now Tooltips for all the output boxes and the buttons.
There are no changes in the code, and I am afraid that LockRattler will still not run on El Capitan – I await a solution from Apple for this, which I fear is not forthcoming.
The Help Book was authored using Eastgate’s superb note-making environment Tinderbox 7, as a demonstration project detailed on this blog. Although it is basic rather than fancy, it should answer any questions that you might have without having to mess around opening the PDF documentation.
I hope that you find this useful.
