Has the Edinburgh University Press invented the hardback eBook?

I have just received an email announcement of a new book, A Historical Syntax of English, by Bettelou Los, which the Edinburgh University Press published in April 2015.

The real mystery, though, is in its pricing. In addition to offering printed hardback (£70) and paperback (£19.99) editions, it is offering two electronic editions, one priced at £70, the other at £19.99.

ebookpricingHas the august Edinburgh UP invented the hardback eBook, do you think, or do you just get to choose which price you would prefer to pay for the eBook?
