SystHist 1.4 brings full support for Mojave release

If you have already upgraded to macOS Mojave, you will have noticed that SystHist 1.3 has two bugs: it doesn’t show full details of the Mojave release, and its window reports that it is still version 1.2.

Version 1.4 of SystHist corrects both of those bugs, for which I apologise. It’s available from here: systhist14

Many thanks for finding the key instruction for SystHist 1.4. Of interest, it now correctly shows the release Mojave on a laptop originally running High Sierra, but on a laptop that had been running all the Mojave betas, only the Mojave betas showed up, but not the release Mojave installation. Curious.

On both machines MRT now up to date, BTW.

  My MBP which was running Mojave betas was doing so from an external SSD, but I have upgraded the internal SSD, so I can’t make a direct comparison, I’m afraid.
  I think that ß11 was the Golden Master, and very close to the final release version, which may be causing that. When I get a chance, I’ll upgrade the external SSD and try to work out what is going wrong. Maybe Mojave will have had a security update by then anyway!
  Sorry about these issues: I have to parse the installation log, and Apple doesn’t use strings consistently there which means that many new updates require a new special case to find them.

Just to clarify, I was also using an external SSD for the Mojave Betas (using Thunderbolt 2 port, which allowed I think TRIM commands). Beta 11 was (18A389) while the Mojave release is (18A391). Only a few changes then, but who knows?

I always greatly appreciate your meticulous attention to details that most of us are bewildered by.
