HelpHelp: development version 0.2 is now available

I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of the second development version of my free utility HelpHelp, which looks inside Apple Help and supports search of any registered Help Book. The latest release is available from Downloads above.

Significant changes include:

  • the Help Book list is now sorted alphabetically, although the order is based on Unicode sorting and places all capitalised names before those such as iTunes which start with a lower case character;
  • there is now a Help Book, cunningly named HelpHelp Help;
  • the app has its own icon.

I welcome feedback on whether this is useful, and what additional features you’d like to see in the first full release. I’m not sure whether I will be able to implement them, but can try.

Another article, on implementing sorting in Swift, will follow shortly.
