Today, Apple has again silently updated two sets of configuration data for the security protection built into macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan.
XProtectPlistConfigData has been updated to add Hmining.B to its list of malware. This is a recent variant of Hmining.A, which XProtect already detects. Its version number remains fixed at 1.0.
MRT configuration data have been updated to version 1.12. Apple does not release details of what this update addresses.
I have updated the respective listings for Sierra and El Capitan.
