Q&A: Problems accessing website

Q I often send ecards from the Jacquie Lawson website, but recently found I could not view cards in Safari or Firefox. Site support made suggestions, and I have got it working with Firefox or Chrome, but Safari remains broken. How can I restore access?

A There are few tricks to fix problems like this. Ensure that you have disabled all Internet security and similar products and software firewalls (except in your modem-router), so that nothing could be blocking site content.

Ensure that your version of OS X is fully up to date through the App Store, download and install the latest version of Java from here, Adobe’s latest Air and Flash installers, then restart.

Any remaining issues are a server problem which the site developers need to address: cut them no slack!
