If the answer to that question is yes, then you need to read this now.
As from 31 March this year (2015 for those in the International Space Station and beyond), you will no longer be able to use an AOL username to sign in to the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks. Apple is therefore offering to convert you to a regular Apple ID so that you can continue to contribute to its swelling profits.
There is a further twist to this: in order to maintain access to previous licensed content, which you purchased using your AOL username, you must convert that to an Apple ID, or you will then lose access to it.
All you have to do to start the process of conversion is to sign in to iTunes using your AOL username. Apple will guide your hand from there, ensuring that it ends up reaching for your wallet…
(Tip of the hat to ER who drew my attention to this.)
