OS X Server 5.0.3 update – important security fixes (updated)

If iOS 9 and all the other updates today are not enough, Apple has just released OS X Server 5.0.3, with four important security fixes:

  • multiple vulnerabilities in the Apache web server, which is updated to 2.4.16;
  • multiple vulnerabilities in BIND, the DNS service, which is updated to 9.9.7;
  • multiple vulnerabilities in PostgreSQL, the database server, which is updated to 9.3.9;
  • multiple XML security issues in Wiki Server based on Twisted; accordingly Twisted has been removed.

As ever it is in the App Store, once you have fought your way through all the other updates.

Note that once the App Store app has updated Server, you must start the updated Server app and allow it to complete updating there. If you do not, the App Store app will keep offering and installing OS X Server until you do. Thanks for warning us, Apple.
