Also known as Pyotr Nilus, Piotr Nilouss, and Peter Alexandrovitch Nilouss, he emigrated to Paris in 1920.
After his training, he returned to the city of Odesa to paint and teach others, and became a key figure in the city’s arts into the 20th century.
