Does Lockdown Mode stop writing location metadata to all new images captured by the camera, or does it merely remove it from those photos that are shared?

The vulnerability in Ventura 13.5.1 must have been reported to Apple between 28 August and 1 September. On 7 September, Apple released fixes for2 vulnerabilities across 4 OSes.
In the two years since we’ve been waiting for Apple to provide an option to opt out of online certificate and notarization checks, Apple has added two enhanced security modes, but not addressed the original issue.
