Don’t think that syncing with Dropbox and Sierra’s iCloud is safer: in the wrong circumstances it could lead to data loss. A serious conflict revealed.

What do you make of an app which “takes control of your Mac” without asking you, and then refuses to let you disable that?
Sharing docs between Macs, or with iOS devices, need not be complex or messy. You may even find OS X Server a help.
