About MakeLogarchive

This is a development version of a tool to create logarchives from live macOS Sierra and High Sierra unified logs which can be opened using my free log browser Consolation, or Apple's Console.

This version now generates valid logarchives which can be opened by Console and Consolation. However, the latest time set for the log is the present, not the last time of entry into the log.

Run the app. Click on the button, and select the file containing the log folders. In the case of a 'live' log, this will be /var/db. Then select and name the logarchive into which the logs will be saved.

If you have Debug checked (ticked), debug information will be shown in the scrolling text view below.
